beautifulPB Community Garden – Construction Begins Saturday, October 21, 2017

WHAT: Come help us get started – Bring shovels and materials to donate!The beautifulPB Community Garden will begin construction at St. Andrew’s By-the-Sea this month. The first work party is scheduled for 10/21/17 at 8:30 AM. Mark your calendars! Bring shovels and other tools as well as any materials you would like to donate.

PB Counts 2017: Volunteers Needed

PB Community Organizations Embrace Autonomous Vehicles
Collaboration amongst PB Community groups is becoming the norm and here is an example. The PB Planning Group, beautifulPB, Discover PB and the PB Town Council sent a letter to SANDAG offering PB as a proving ground for future projects related to automated vehicles.

PB Pathways Map Updated
The PB Pathways Map has been updated to include regional routes and more community destinations such as Churches and the PB Library. Click below for the link.

San Diego Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) Approves PB Pathway Improvements
On October 5th, 2016, beautifulPB presented a project to the BAC that takes advantage of planned street repaving to install wayfinding and safety improvements on Pacific Beach streets. The project received unanimous approval. Bicycle program engineers will now design these improvements for installation at the time of street repaving.

Balboa Avenue Station Specific Plan at PB Planning Group

PB Pathways Ride to Arts & Amps
WHEN: Saturday, August 20th, 2016, 4pm ride, 5-8pm event
WHERE: Meet at Street Mural, Diamond and Haines at 4pm or along the route. See map below
COST: Free! Also, free valet bike parking at event
WHAT: beautifulPB will be leading a free bike “train” ride to Karl Strauss’s Arts & Amps. The route covers approximately 7 miles and will be done at a leisurely pace that will take a little over 1 hour. The starting point is at the street mural on the north side of Pacific Beach Middle School (Diamond and Haines) and the route then loops through Pacific Beach on the PB Pathways before heading to Karl Strauss. You can participate by arriving at the start by 4 pm or joining along the route (Earliest estimated times are provided on the route map). Free bike valet will be provided at Karl Strauss courtesy of beautifulPB. Beach cruisers are OK. Helmet and bike lights recommended.
