Bio

Sehr Lalani is a results-focused operator who collaborates with high-growth companies as a fractional Chief People Officer and leadership coach. Sehr has been the top People leader at four venture-backed startups and helped them achieve billion-dollar valuations during her tenure (ipsy, Workrise, Hasura, Built). She was responsible for the expansion of these organizations from 50 to several hundred employees while managing large HR and recruiting teams. Companies Sehr has supported have frequently been featured on “Best Places to Work” lists.
 

As a fractional Chief People Officer, Sehr has contributed her expertise to over a dozen startups across various regions, providing trusted guidance during critical transitions. Her contributions span from establishing robust HR foundations across Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and HR Business Partnering, to implementing innovative strategies for talent development, fostering a culture of inclusivity, driving organizational performance, and more. Sehr serves as a trusted advisor and coach to founders, CEOs, and senior leaders to help them achieve outsized outcomes for their organizations.
 

Earlier in her career, Sehr co-founded a retail electricity startup that went on to be Houston’s fastest-growing company in 2012 and later exited to a large utility. Sehr holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Brown University, an M.S. in Management, Organisations, and Governance from the London School of Economics, and an Executive Certificate from Stanford Graduate School of Business in People, Culture, and Performance.
